Masterson’s Pub , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my latest trip at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I found behind its walls was appalling and beyond comprehension .
The State of Affairs: Filthy and Neglected Beyond Belief
From the moment I entered , it was apparent that sanitation was not a priority at this bar . The surfaces were tacky , and a nauseating aroma of decaying beverages and uncleaned toilets permeated the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and sour vomit . The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and debris that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . His presence at the bar often resembled that of a lurking threat than a friendly owner .
